Grown by Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory, this plant was originally used for medicinal & ceremonial purposes. Early European settlers called it the “the Five-Spice plant” due to its fragrant mix of flavours, predominantly Basil, Sage and Mint.
A fragrant mix of basil, sage and mint flavours it can be used in any dish where sweet basil would be used. Particularly great in Mediterranean tomato-based dishes.
